Tangier is where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, with the marina beside the city and waterfront promenade. It combines a large boatyard and storage with a short journey to the airport.
Police and customs are on site. On arrival, the boat’s registration documents, insurance and passports are used for clearance. Sailors’ accounts from 2023 and 2026 describe good shelter and helpful staff; clearance can take a little time.
Flights, trains and ferriesTangier Ibn Battouta airport is about 14 km from the marina. The railway station is around 2.6 km away, and the passenger ferry to Tarifa leaves from nearby Tanger Ville.
Norwegian operates a summer route between Oslo and Tangier in 2026. For dropping off and collecting the boat outside summer, connections via other European cities are also options.
